Once the institute is selected, the obvious next questions comes is about the funding..?? How are you going to fund your education..?? The French Embassy in India provides scholarships to indian students who wish to follow their higher education in France. Information for the same can be gathered from the Edufrance desk or you can visit www.france-in-india.org . There are different types of scholarships available at the Embassy namely Incentive Scholarship and Sandwich scholarship for the Phd registered scholars.
September and January are the intakes in France. There are certain deadlines for applying for the scholarship which need to be adhered to. Once you have all the necessary information you can begin with the admission procedure.
It is important to know however that most of the schools and universities in France do not require Indian students to give the TOEFl, IELTS or any other English proficiency exam. Moreover, even some master level courses in Management like Masters in International Business, Masters in business Communication, Masters in Net Management, Masters in Marketing Management, NGO Management etc NO GMAT is required. But for an MBA course a GMAT is mandatory.
One needs to fill the application form which should be backed up by the academics certificates and mark sheets, CV, Letter of motivation, any extracurricular certificates, work ex certificates (if required), and 2 letters of recommendation. Once this is submitted along with the application fee, there shall be an interview organized at the EduFrance office after which the jury decides whether the applicant is accepted or rejected.
Once the student receives the letter of admission he/she is eligible to apply for the scholarship. The scholarship files is more or less the same as the application file just that the letter of motivation should be modified, including the estimated expenditure to be incurred.
Your concern now shifts to accommodation and VISA. All the required aid can be met with at the Desk EduFrance. Even the schools provide with accommodation aid.
VISA Formalities
Every student has to go through the NOC procedure for obtaining their VISA. NOC is the No Objection Certificate which can be obtained from Catherine JOURDAINNE at the consult inMumbaior in the other cities from the Director of the Alliance Française de Bombay. You need to book your appointment for the VISA through the VFS after having your NOC date. Thus it is just a procedure of 2 days after having your appointments.

The students require taking along with them translated and attested copies of their Birth/Marriage Certificate and their graduation certificate. This can be done at the Alliance Française in your city.
With this you are ready to fly
Once there the institute in which you are admitted to, will help you with the student permit (carte de séjour). We recommend students to carry some black white and colored passport sized photographs. This helps for the administrative procedures there!
