The time period from May end to mid September is the ideal season to be in France. Not only because of the appealing climate but also it’s that time of the year when French universities offer a short term courses.
Most of the universities in France offer short term courses in different fields like Fashion, Photography, Language, designing, heritage studies, law& economics, agrohealth, Management, Material innovations for products and trends etc.

For those who are not very fluent in French, there are many courses which are offered in English. Thus, the advantage being you are studying in English but are still practising your French as you are living in France…and above all while your vacation in the beauty of Europe.

SPEOS– Paris Photographic Institute offers Photography workshops (www.speos.fr)
One can choose from a period of one week to ten weeks, depending on the number of workshops one opts for. One need to have a baccalaureat i.e. one should have cleared their HSC in order to attend these summer workshops.
The summer session is composed of workshops: Museum and Gallery visits - Aesthetics of images - Black and White Darkroom– Introduction to studio - The Portrait - The Nude - Computer imaging / Photomontage - Photojournalism - Commercial photography -, several designed for beginners and the others for advanced students. The workshops point out the major arts and techniques of modern photography. The participants choose one or several workshops, depending on their own interests.They may also enroll for the full summer session

Expert modules
•Length:Four weeks for each module– part time 15 hours per week
•Objectives: The expert modules treat the subjects of business management, digital image publication management, studio and photo reportage. Courses are taught by professionals who daily use the expert skills they present in the module. Emphasis is placed on the practical acquisition of this knowledge, in the context of a project established with each student.
